Description Boutique employment firm is seeking a senior attorney/partner to join their collaborative team in the East Bay. In this role, you will be expected to handle various tasks, including processing legal cases, managing client relationships, and providing mentorship to associates. This firm offers work-life balance (billable requirement: 1600), bonuses, and opportunity for growth. Responsibilities: • Overseeing the work of associate and senior associates, nurturing their abilities and reviewing their work in a strategic way. • Managing employment law cases with a focus on wage & hour and discrimination/whistleblower cases. • Ensuring regular contact with clients and building strong relationships. • Providing mentorship and development opportunities for other attorneys in the team. • Utilizing your strong litigation experience in handling complex cases. • Representing public entity or healthcare institutions when required. • Employing strong analytical and strategic-thinking abilities in all work. • Maintaining excellent writing and communication skills for clear and effective client communication. • Advocating for clients with energy and commitment while adhering to ethical standards. • Fostering a stress-free environment as much as the nature of litigation allows. Requirements • Proficiency in Employment Law is a key requirement for this role • Expertise in Employment Law from the perspective of an employer is essential • Must possess Civil Litigation Experience • Trial Experience is a fundamental requirement for this role • Experience in handling Depositions is necessary • Familiarity with Motion Practice is required • Capability in Counseling Employees is a critical aspect of this position.
