**29339BR** **Job Title:** Partners in Education Across Kansas (PEAK) Coordinator **Department:** Spencer Museum of Art **Primary Campus:** University of Kansas Lawrence Campus **Job Description:** Program Coordination (50%) + Manage the logistics and scheduling of numerous in-person and virtual meetings and trainings, site and classroom visits, and self-care sessions for multiple communities of educators across Kansas. + Work with Museum and KU Center for Research staff to ensure budget is on track, coordinate payments for PEAK related stipends and activities, and assist with grant reporting. + Work with Museum staff to plan and host multiple educator workshops at the Spencer Museum and in locations across Kansas, including scheduling, purchasing supplies, assisting with travel, coordinating meals, and reserving blocks of hotel rooms. + Support evaluation activities through scheduling, recordkeeping, survey distribution, and response aggregation. + Ensure meeting agendas are set and minutes taken for strategic planning meetings, site meetings in each community of practice, and grant leadership team meetings. + Collaborate with the PEAK intern to ensure that program needs are met and tasks are delegated and efficiently managed. + Ensure all stakeholders receive stipends and honoraria in a timely manner. Stakeholder Communication & Recordkeeping (30%) + Work with PEAK team to build relationships with educators and arts organizers, develop new communities of practice across Kansas, introduce educators to the materials created, and serve as a liaison to community partners. + Communicate with PEAK educators about event details, instructional resources, and stipend payments. + Maintain records for meeting minutes, grant expenditures, and external communications. + Process contracts and payments for teaching artists, organizational partners, videographer, teacher leaders, and art therapists. Resource Development & Dissemination (15%) + Assist Museum staff, Kansas partners, teacher leaders, and art therapists in developing digital and analogue engagement materials, including enrichment resources and lesson plans, informal videos, hands-on classroom materials, virtual tours, and other special projects. + Coordinate the dissemination of instructional resources to communities of practice across Kansas. + Assist in writing promotional text for email, social media, and other digital platforms. + Maintain detailed and accurate records about resource distribution to document PEAK’s reach and impact. Bachelor’s degree in art history, studio art, art education, education, or related field plus 1 year of related professional experience. 2. Experience organizing and planning meetings and activities as evidenced in application materials. 3. At least one year's experience tracking and documenting project expenditures. 4. Excellent written communication skills as evidenced by application materials. 5. Three or more years of art museum education or other relevant experience. 2. Previous experience of current theories and strategies in education, ability to translate as appropriate. 3. Previous experience of museum education and audience development. 4. Experience and familiarity with local community organizations and university and regional education organizations. 5. Experience identifying, applying for, and reporting on external funding from a variety of agencies. 6. Prior work experience that required excellent organizational, interpersonal and collaboration skills. 7. Valid driver’s license upon hire and throughout term of employment. **Position Overview:** The Partners in Education Across Kansas (PEAK) Coordinator is a grant-funded position that will conclude on September 30, 2026. The PEAK Coordinator manages a collaborative professional development program for K-12 educators across Kansas. The program provides educators with the content, skills, and strategies needed for quality arts integration, especially in the area of social emotional learning (SEL), so they are comfortable with implementing them in their classroom and community and advocating for these practices with colleagues, schools, districts, and professional organizations. This position serves as project manager overseeing logistical aspects of program development and administration including budget, timeline, contractual services, and communication. The PEAK Coordinator works closely with PEAK Co-directors and additional staff from the Spencer Museum to develop program direction and resources for the PEAK program that serve partners and K-12 educators across Kansas. This position works with KU Center for Research (KUCR) to assist in implementing budget and administrative elements.
