Position Summary:
The position of the Parts Technician; Packaging Maintenance has primary responsibility for all equipment spare parts, procurement and distribution to the maintenance and operation’s teams in an effort to assist in efficient repairs.
Responsibilities: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Maintaining spare parts locations, and stored equipment condition with minimal supervision, in a neat and clean fashion.
· Managing spare part inventory levels, new stocked items, inventory targets, PM parts inventories.
· Interprets parts breakdowns and schematics to find part information
· Interacts with suppliers and vendors to obtain quotes on needed parts
· Tracks and receives inbound parts orders
· Makes continuous efforts to find 2nd sources for parts, and suppliers with more optimal pricing
· Works professionally with Maintenance department to find and distribute replacement parts from inventory as needed
· Works professionally with Packaging department to distribute replacement parts from inventory as needed
· Monitors and develops PM and equipment rebuild kits
· Enters part data into emaint system
· Records budgetary and spend information for analysis by management
· Other responsibilities as assigned by Senior Management.
Requirements
Education and Experience:
· College degree or Trade School.
· Experience in pharmaceutical packaging preferred.
· Strong mechanical aptitude
· Ability to interpret equipment records.
· Knowledge of SOP’s.
· Able to communicate effectively in English
Skills and Abilities:
· Attention to detail.
· Understanding of how facility and packaging equipment operates.
· Ability to follow instructions and work independently.
· Ability to communicate effectively.
· The operation of certain machinery requires eye, hand, and foot coordination.
· English proficient.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
· Inside work conditions may vary from a warehouse environment to production floor to office setting with various noise levels.
· Ability to bend, lift, move heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and perform other similar actions during the course of the work day.
· Occasionally works in outside weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, snow, etc.
· Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, push and crouch.
· Constantly required to use hands and fingers to feel, handle or operate controls and reach with hands and arms.
· Vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
