Parts and Materials Storeroom Clerk
Amentum is seeking a Parts and Materials Storeroom Clerk for our Operations and Maintenance team in Richmond, VA. Typical work schedule is Monday - Friday 7:30AM - 4:00PM; hours may vary based on business demand. This position performs a variety of duties at client facilities related to the receipt and/or disbursement of parts i.e., issuing parts, ordering replacement parts, receiving parts into inventory, storing parts, inventory integrity, and daily interaction within the Maximo Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Responsibilities: + Establish and maintain an efficient storeroom system for easy identification, retrieval, and tracking of parts. + Ensure accurate recording and well-organized storage of parts and materials used in maintenance activities. + Receive requests for parts from maintenance personnel or stakeholders, place orders for the requested parts, and ensure timely delivery and accuracy. + Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to ensure availability of required parts. + Attend meetings as required to provide updates on inventory status, discuss supply needs, and collaborate with team members. + Utilize the Maximo CMMS to accurately establish and maintain inventory records by entering relevant information such as part numbers, descriptions, quantities, and locations. + Collaborate with maintenance personnel to understand supply and material needs. + Track supply and material consumption to maintain adequate stock levels. + Identify usage patterns/trends and anticipate replenishment needs to avoid delays. + Issue items from inventory for maintenance activities and ensure proper recording and accounting of items when issued or returned to inventory. + Prepare kits of parts for upcoming maintenance jobs or work orders. + Continuously assess physical inventory items and their organization by evaluating inventory turnover and identifying unused or obsolete items for removal or disposal. + Receive parts within the Maximo CMMS and compile any invoices with for transmittal to appropriate departments or personnel. + Generate reports that provide insight into inventory levels, usage patterns, and relevant metrics. Support decision-making and planning through data analysis. + Address and resolve issues related to invoices for parts ordered and collaborate with suppliers, vendors, and finance department to resolve discrepancies or errors. + Utilize P-card system for making purchases of parts/materials and follow established guidelines and procedures for accurate and efficient procurement. + Conduct weekly, quarterly, and annual physical inventory counts. Investigate any discrepancies and adjust counts as needed. + Transfer material from central storeroom to other facilities through use of a company vehicle as needed or as scheduled. Create and receive inventory transfers in the Maximo CMMS. + Assist with the planning, execution, and management of setting up storerooms at other facilities. + Create service provider purchase requisitions in a backup support role. + Knowledge of applicable safety policies and procedures. + Other duties as assigned by Management. Minimum Requirements: + High school diploma or equivalent. + Three years of experience in logistics and/or material management. + Experience utilizing Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. + Ability to obtain a security access badge at our client’s location. + Must be able to obtain and maintain facility/security credentials/authorization. Note: US citizenship or Permanent Residency is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location. + This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization. + This position may require various shifts, weekends, and alternative work schedules. + This position requires a valid driver’s license issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/drivers/) . Preferred Qualifications: + Experience utilizing a CMMS. Maximo experience is a plus. + Experience utilizing mobile devices and software for inventory storeroom management. Some Physical/Special requirements include: + Requires extensive standing and/or sitting and bending to perform assigned duties. + Repetitive motions: stoop, squat, kneel, stretch, reach and wrist movement. + Requires the use of a utility knife. + Requires the ability to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and/or other material moving equipment. + Must be able to move heavy objects such as motors, etc. which may be more than 50 lbs. + Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, hard hats, and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed. + Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment.
