C & B Powersports, a progressive family-owned company that has grown over 35 years to include John Deere Ag, Material Handling and Powersports locations has an opening for a Parts Manager in Spirit Lake, Iowa. This position reports to the General Manager and manages parts operations within the dealership to provide the highest level of external and internal customer satisfaction while maximizing return on investment through parts sales, inventory control, and expense control. This individual will work cooperatively to optimize parts department processes along with attracting, retaining and effectively engaging department personnel.
Essential Duties:
Develops, communicates, enforces and monitors effective parts department processes to ensure internal and external customer satisfaction Promotes and merchandises parts and accessories Creates annual parts department goals and budget, in alignment with the organization’s financial and operational objectives Develops and executes parts department marketing plan and monitors monthly to ensure achievement of departmental goals Maintains an accurate and effective parts inventory control system that includes a perpetual and/or annual physical inventory and proper counter procedures Submits all parts warranty and return claims within the required timeframe to receive maximum credit Maximizes use of all order discount programs to achieve management stock order goals Ensures all department tools, equipment and vehicles are in good working order Manages recruiting, staffing and employee development activities for employees reporting to this positionQualifications:
Valid driver's license and a safe driving record Ability to meet physical demands and duration of physical exertion generally required to perform tasks in support of all job functions, for example - sitting, standing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, pushing, and pulling Knowledge of farm and turf and power equipment preferred Ability to work extended hours and weekends Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports Basic understanding of financial principles relative to parts department operations Ability to write and speak effectively to work with the public and upper management Proven experience driving and improving customer relations and service Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office Suite and internet functions Experience leading others Experience in parts department operationsBenefits:
