As a Parts Manager you will be responsible for managing the daily duties of all employees within the

designated location. Additional management of the locations inventory of parts and accessories for recreational vehicles, ensuring accurate record-keeping, and providing excellent customer service to both the internal dealership needs and external customers. This role is crucial in maintaining the efficiency of our parts and dealership, ensuring our customers receive the correct parts in a timely manner.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Duties and Responsibilities:

Customer Interaction: Greet customers warmly, listen to their concerns, and effectively communicate service options and recommendations. Assist customers, both in-person and over the phone, with parts inquiries and orders. Provide knowledgeable advice on parts compatibility and availability. Process customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Handle customer complaints and returns professionally and efficiently. Estimates and Quotes: Provide detailed repair estimates to customers, including labor and parts costs. Clearly explain the scope of work and any additional recommendations to ensure transparency and informed decision-making. Parts Ordering: Coordinate with the service department to procure necessary components for repairs and maintenance. Ensure timely availability of parts to service to minimize. Service Coordination: Liaise with service advisors to prioritize work orders, communicate customer expectations, and monitor incoming parts. Keep customers informed of any changes or delays in service. Quality Assurance: Conduct quality inspections of completed repairs to ensure work meets established standards. Address any customer concerns or issues promptly and professionally. Documentation and Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of service transactions, including service histories, repair orders, and warranty information. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Inventory Management: Maintain accurate records of parts and accessories inventory. Monitor stock levels and order parts as needed to ensure optimal inventory. Receive and inspect incoming shipments for accuracy and quality. Organize and store parts in an orderly and accessible manner. The parts manager is accountable for the yearly location inventory results. Inspection and Verification: Upon receipt, parts are usually inspected to ensure they match the specifications outlined in the purchase order. This may involve checking dimensions, quantities, and quality. Documentation: Proper documentation is essential to track received parts. This includes verifying packing lists against actual deliveries and updating inventory or ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems. Quality Control: Depending on the industry and part type, quality control checks may be performed to ensure parts meet predefined standards. This could involve visual inspection, measurements, or even testing. Storage and Inventory: After inspection, parts are typically stored in designated areas within the warehouse or production facility. Accurate inventory management ensures parts are readily available when needed. Communication: Effective communication between receiving personnel, suppliers, and other relevant departments (such as production planning or quality assurance) is critical to resolve any discrepancies or issues promptly. Work closely with service advisors to ensure they have the necessary parts for repairs and maintenance. Keep sales and service departments informed of part availability and delivery times. Assist in locating and procuring hard-to-find parts. Assist customers, both in-person and over the phone, with parts inquiries and orders. Provide knowledgeable advice on parts compatibility and availability. Process customer orders, ensuring timely and accurate delivery. Handle customer complaints and returns professionally and efficiently. Prepare and process purchase orders, invoices, and other related paperwork. Maintain accurate pricing and update part numbers in the inventory system. Conduct regular inventory audits to verify stock levels and correct discrepancies. Keep the parts area clean, organized, and safe. Regularly updates the customer on the status of their unit. Resolves any difficult customer issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Other duties as assigned.
