Parts Sales Specialist

Cleaver Brooks is looking for an Inside Sales Specialist - Genuine Parts to join our team in Milwaukee, WI. The Inside Sales Specialist role is an inside sales position, receiving and editing orders for replacement parts for Capital Equipment and Genuine Parts products. Researching technical drawings/diagrams/archives to ensure appropriate parts are quoted and ordered. Entering orders in the parts system and monitoring orders to ensure timely and correct receipt by the customer. Maintaining files and records pertinent to order.

 Essential Duties: 

Support department sales budget with focus on assigned representatives to achieve Target. Work with management to develop and implement local strategy. Perform required research to support customer request for quote and general information solicitation with ability to field multiple inquires at one time. Use existing technical drawings/diagrams/personnel/ resources to research quotes and ensure that parts ordered conform to equipment specifications. Perform quote follow up to facilitate field response.  Perform order entry and representative follow up as required.  Request for quote response and order entry, per department standards. Perform commission generation and the disputed invoice process, per standards. Perform the material return authorization / restock process, per department standards. Ability to handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and to effectively interface with others inside and outside the company, is required. Work directly with representatives and staff to resolve internal and external problems quickly. Work with management to determine / solicit representative feedback related to target and sales program performance / enhancements. Solicit representative input for new products as well as collecting feedback for increasing sales related to existing offerings. Assist in representative evaluations and promote growth initiatives. Must be able to travel, generally by air – travel will be a rare request. Position requires the constant and consistent exercise of intellect, judgment, and ability commensurate with supervisor positions in similar industries or situations. Position requires regular exercise of problem solving and policy or procedure interpretation skills. Ability to handle responsibilities with effective interpersonal skills and to effectively interface with others inside and outside the Company is required.

Other Duties:     

Perform other duties as assigned. 

Internal Contacts:      

25%.  Frequent contacts requiring the obtaining or giving of information with engineering, manufacturing/distribution warehouse, pricing, purchasing, finance, management.  

External Contacts:     

75%.  Contacts with representatives, end users and parts suppliers are required as a regular part of daily duties.  This includes email, phone support, emergency communications and immediate customer demands.  Contacts may occasionally be controversial. 

Education Required:     

A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.  A Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Liberal Arts is preferred.  Ten years’ experience in a similar industrial/technical position may be substituted. 

Experience Required:  

Computer competency including, Word, Excel, required with IFS background a plus.  Basic understanding of HVAC industry terminology a plus. This position requires at least six years’ experience in a similar industrial/technical position.  

Physical Skill and Effort:     

Work requires computer proficiency, moderate typing speed and a high data input accuracy level.  Work involves fairly light and simple types of physical exertion. 

Working Conditions and Hazards:     

Normal office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features.  Negligible/little or no exposure to hazardous conditions or materials.
