The role involves working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure the accurate and timely delivery of parts. **Key Responsibilities:** **Parts Inventory Management:** + Maintain accurate records of parts inventory, ensuring parts are properly stored and categorized. + Monitor inventory levels and assist in the reordering process as necessary to ensure stock availability. + Organize parts to minimize retrieval time and ensure easy access. **Parts Ordering and Sourcing:** + Assisting to source parts from suppliers and manufacturers based on customer requirements or finding alternatives to existing sources + Ensure timely procurement of parts while considering budget constraints. + Manage vendor relationships to ensure the quality and cost-effectiveness of parts. **Customer Service:** + Provide assistance to customers in identifying and selecting the correct parts for their needs. + Provide availability and pricing on parts when applicable + Offer technical support and advice related to parts, ensuring customers are well-informed. + Handle returns, exchanges, and warranties in accordance with company policies. **Order Fulfillment:** + Process orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy in parts selection and delivery. + Coordinate with shipping and receiving teams to ensure timely delivery to customers. + Track orders and follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction. + Backfill in areas of shipping, receiving, and product testing/packing as required to fit business needs. **Documentation and Record Keeping:** + Maintain accurate records of parts transactions, inventory levels, and supplier information. + Ensure compliance with company policies regarding inventory control, parts warranties, and returns. **Technical Support:** + Assist with technical issues related to parts, including locating drawings to assist customers in finding specific part #’s and recommending suitable replacements. + Working with our internal service and product teams to access the best available data to make it easier for our customers to get what they need on a timely basis + Stay up-to-date with new parts, technologies, and trends in the industry. **Collaboration:** + Work closely with sales, service, and product teams to ensure part availability for repairs and new installations. + Provide training and guidance to junior staff and sales channel team members on parts management and ordering processes. **Required Qualifications:** + High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a degree in automotive technology, logistics, or a related field). + Proven experience as a parts specialist, parts clerk, or similar role in relevant industries (e.g., automotive, manufacturing, etc.). + Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. + Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams when needed + Proficient in inventory management software and general office software (e.g., MS Office). + Strong communication and customer service skills. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Knowledge of parts, tools, and equipment used in the industry is preferred, but not required + Certification or training in parts management, logistics, or a related field. + Familiarity with warehouse operations, safety regulations, and best practices. **Working Conditions:** + Work is typically performed in a warehouse & office environment. + May require standing for long periods, lifting, and handling parts of various sizes and weights.
