Prevost, a member of the Volvo Group, is currently looking for an effective and independent Parts Specialist/Counterperson to fill a vacant position within their team in Mississauga.
 
WHAT IS EXPECTED: 
 
The Parts Specialist/Counterperson has a key role in the Volvo Group | Prevost Division in order to perform all functions relating to the sale and/or handling of replacement parts and accessories.  They assist internal/external customers with parts requirements, process orders and ship/receive parts to maintain company standards of customer satisfaction.
 
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:  

Responds to customer and service technician inquiries for replacement parts, accessories or occasional technical support Participates in the improvement and maintenance of the parts department in the branch Looks up parts in internally & externally, assigns parts to Work Orders, issues parts to service technicians Safeguard organizational and personal information confidentiality. Respect the policies, rules, and values of the Company. Contribute to the attainment of Company objectives through efficient use of resources. Foster teamwork, collaboration, and improved communication between sectors. Implement improvements in the department based on Prevost’s business directions. Promote standardization and uniformity in management processes and practices.  Develop personal professional skills. Act as a worthy representative of Prevost.

 

WHAT YOU NEED:

High school diploma At least two years’ experience in bus or truck parts Computer use & knowledge (Microsoft Office, SAP) Forklift/Reach Truck certification Capacity to regularly lift to 20kg unassisted and the ability to climb, bend, squat, reach and grasp Flexibility to occasionally work outside of normal working hours, depending on emergencies and last-minute requests
