The role
As a Passes and Permits Clerk, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You will be responsible for creating and issuing personnel and vehicle passes to all personnel and visitors.


Day-to-day, you’ll have the following responsibilities:

Issue permanent passes and permits – including providing assistance and guidance on pass application process and the issue of temporary passes when required by guardroom staff. Control and secure the custody of passes and permits prior to issue – blank security forms are Unclassified.  Blank ID cards are to be treated as Sensitive documents and safeguarded in accordance with JSP440.  (Military Policy control entrance policy – Joint service publication) Carry out completion checks before issuing pass/permit to the recipient – including all relevant security checks following strict GDPR regulations. Collating of any required documentation for the completion of Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) vetting of passes and permits for dependants, contractors, and social personnel – ensure correct completion of all documentation.


This role is full time and based onsite at RAF High Wycombe. This role is Monday to Friday and the office is open from 7am to 5pm, you will be rotating on working hours.


Essential experience of the Passes and Permits Clerk

Evidence of working in a dynamic, customer focused environment Experience of working in a position with time restricted deadlines. Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office. Previous experience of working within an environment with GDPR requirements

Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain SC security clearance for this role.
