\nImportant information about the schedule:\nAvailable Shifts: \nNight Shift | Sunday to Wednesday, 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM (12-hour shifts)\n

 

\nDay Shift | Sunday to Wednesday, 4:00 AM to 4:00 PM (12-hour shifts)\n

The Pasteurizer/Batcher is responsible for ensuring all products are prepared according to recipes. (S)he will process and pasteurize ensuring that all products meet customer, state and federal guidelines.

\n

Essential Duties:

\n\nMeasure ingredients, mix ingredients, and batch products to meet recipe guidelines\nTake inventory and record lot numbers of ingredients used.\nExpertly execute the pasteurizing process including homogenization.\nPrepare pasteurized/raw tanks/set line circuits/CIP jumpers\nOperate pasteurizing systems sending product to correct tanks or tankers\nRun tests for butterfat and total solids\n·       Set up tanks and line circuits for CIP, test chemicals and adjust as needed.\nOnce completed reassemble items so they are ready for use.\nKeep all support equipment clean to meet state and federal guidelines.\nPerform basic maintenance and replace parts on the equipment as necessary\n Responsible for food safety, pre-requisite programs and food quality related to designated area\nReport any food safety and food quality related issues to management immediately.\nEnsure all required information is documented in accordance with SOPs\nFollow Quality Assurance standards and collect required samples, as needed, for Quality Assurance testing.\nEnsure all paperwork is filled out in a clear, legible and accurate format, and completed with required information.\nFollow all required work safe practices. This would include compliance of Good Manufacturing Practices, wearing of all required PPE in designated areas, confined space safety, safe chemical handling, fall restraints, etc.\nOther duties as assigned\n\n

Qualifications:

\n\nHigh school diploma or GED preferred\n6+ months in manufacturing, dairy or another related field preferred\nForklift certified or willing to become certified\n Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.\nFluency in English; speak, read and write\nAbility to work in cold and wet environment for prolonged periods of time\nMust be able to work in various temperature-controlled zones ranging from cold to hot\nDemonstrates a mechanical aptitude and can work and maneuver in tight and awkward areas and positions.\nAbility to operate equipment at recommended speeds and communicate mechanical and operational defects as they arise.\nMust be flexible and willing to work the demands of the department which may be subject to evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.\nMust be able to frequently reach up to 31-77 inches. \n\n

Physical Demands:

\n\nRegularly stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms\nRegularly stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl;\nRegularly taste or smell product\nOccasionally sit and occasionally climb ladders or work on a platform\nFrequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds\nOccasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. \n\n
