About Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley
Situated at the northern end of Napa Valley off the famed Silverado Trail, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley will offer experiences will capture the imagination of even the most seasoned wine country visitors.
The Position/Role
Prepare all meals and pastries including but not limited to breakfast, lunch, dinner, baked items, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, fruit compotes, chocolates, show pieces, food items per guest orders in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe, sanitary work environment. Prepare and serve food for Employee Cafeteria as needed. Complies with any additional requests that may arise pertaining to Cook 1 duties.
Responsibilities
To supervise and assist with the mise-en-place and cooking of all menu items ensuring the highest of standards are maintained for all outlets.
The ability to ensure superior production of all sweet items, pastries, cakes, ice creams, sorbets, breads, chocolates, etc. for all outlets as well as banquets and amenities.
The ability to establish standard recipes and ensure the compliance with them.
To ensure all members of your team are familiar with their daily tasks and provide on-going training as needed.
The ability to train, motivate and supervise other pastry employees
The ability to communicate regularly with the Pastry Chef, and contribute to menu development and recipe creation for a variety of outlets.
Create and maintain a positive work environment conducive to learning and growth for all team members.
Assist in prep work as required for the next shift.
Well-rounded skillset is required for this position, and previous supervisory experience is preferred.
Experience with wedding cakes, banquets, or bread work is a plus.
Who you are
High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education preferred.
Prior Cook I, Chef de Partie or lead cook role in a fine dining restaurant or hotel, or ready to take the next step.
Previous Michelin experience, highly desirable.
Minimum two years culinary or related work experience.
Culinary knowledge is expected for this position.
Proficient ability to multi-task.
Must be flexible with schedule - Able to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, evening/overnight shifts.
