Measure and mix ingredients to form dough or batter, using electric mixer or beat and stir ingredients by handShape dough for cookies, pies, and fancy pastriesPlace shaped dough portions in greased or floured pans and inserts them in ovenAdjust drafts or thermostatic controls to regulate oven temperaturesPrepare and cook ingredients for pie fillings, puddings, custards, or other dessertsPour filling into pie shells and tops filling with meringue or creamMix ingredients to make icingsDecorate cakes and pastriesBlend colors for icings and for shaped sugar ornaments and statuariesBuild solid relationship with your Colleagues Treat colleagues with respect and dignityOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned. A candidate for this position must possess the following applicable knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to demonstrate and provide applicable examples to support his/her competency.
At least two years of previous pastry cook experienceA Culinary Pastry degree or related hotel experience preferredCandidates should be able to perform all basic and intermediate pastry cooking skillsTrack record of delivering exceptional guest or client experienceCommunication skills are utilized a significant amount of time for training and safety purposes, and when interacting with guests and associates.Strong communication skillsAppropriate professional appearance and demeanorPhysical Demands
