Pathologist, Associate Director with Medical Directorship Duties

Pay Range: $ 350,000 - $400,000 annually

Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered. Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.

Pathologist, Associate Director with Medical Directorship duties

PhenoPath is recruiting full-time Surgical Pathologists with Medical Directorship duties to sit onsite at Hospitals located in Everett and Olympia, WA. Candidates should bring 5 years of general surgical pathology sign out experience and one or more areas of subspecialty expertise/interest in anatomic pathology. The chosen candidate will act as the Medical Director for the lab.


5 years of prior experience in an inpatient and/or outpatient laboratory setting including experience with intraoperative frozen sectionsAbility to function in a collegial manner with all pathologists and other staff at PhenoPath, including coordination of time off to ensure adequate service coverage, and timely review of colleagues’ difficult cases when requestedAvailability to PhenoPath and Quest customers and staff as questions/concerns ariseAs appropriate, participation in PhenoPath committees and/or the development of PhenoPath informational/marketing materialsMaintaining appropriate licensing/accreditation and keeping abreast of the relevant pathology literature via participation in CME or similar activitiesMaintaining confidentiality of sensitive information concerning patients, employees, clients, vendors, and the companySupporting the medical director in maintaining a safe work environmentPerforming other assigned duties or tasks on an as-needed basis
M.D. / D.O.Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology5+ years post residency experienceSubspecialty fellowship training in GI, Breast, GU, Cytopathology, Hematopathology, GYN,or Neuropathology a plusExperience in management of other physicians (i.e., pathologists) and/or laboratory personnel and/or experience as medical director in Hospital setting
