Pathologist Assistant | Pay Rate: $46-$65 | Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8a-5p | Direct Hire  What Matters MostCompetitive Pay of $46-$65 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5pLocation: Houston, TX Direct Hire opportunity with career growth and stabilityGreat benefit package –  medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, 401K with match Job Description One of the premier laboratories in the Houston Medical Center is seeking a Pathology Assistant who will supports pathologists in the preparation, examination, and diagnosis of tissue samples in a laboratory setting.  If this is your time to make a difference in your community, apply today! Responsibilities: Assist pathologists in the dissection and preparation of human tissue specimens for analysis.Perform gross examination of surgical specimens to identify pathology and document findings.Prepare tissue samples for further processing, including embedding in paraffin or other preservation methods.Accurately document patient and specimen information in laboratory information systems.Maintain detailed and organized records of specimen handling and processing.Prepare tissue samples for microscopic examination by cutting, staining, and mounting slides.Ensure that all specimens are processed according to established protocols and quality control standards. Qualifications and Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., biology, health sciences, or medical laboratory technology).Completion of a Pathologists’ Assistant program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) is highly preferred.Previous experience in a pathology laboratory setting or healthcare-related field is desirable.Familiarity with gross anatomy, histology, and pathology procedures is advantageous.Certification by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) as a Pathologists' Assistant (PA(ASCP)) is preferred but not required.  Benefits and Perks: $46-$65Medical, dental, vision, short and long term disability, 401K with matchAll Paid Major Holidays  Your New Organization:Well known and world-renowned research facility that offers growth and stability! Your Career Partner: The Reserves Network, a veteran-founded and family-owned company, specializes in connecting exceptional talent with rewarding opportunities.
