At STGi, the Pathway Achievement Career Training Director plays a crucial role in the Pathway Achievement Career Training (PACT) framework, reporting to the Deputy Center Director. This position is centered around ensuring students receive high-quality educational and career technical training, leading to successful academic and career technical training completions. The role encompasses providing comprehensive and individualized case management that supports student progress, achievement, and completion of the Job Corps program.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Strictly adheres to all integrity guidelines and procedures, ensuring no manipulation of student data. Supervises and manages the Academic, CTT, and Counseling/CPP Department staff, ensuring a well-maintained, safe, and attractive environment conducive to student learning. Provides students with educational and career technical training, emphasizing individualized case management. Ensures the center consistently meets or exceeds DOL/Company performance objectives. Establishes and maintains an environment in line with DOL/Company-approved Human Resources policies, ensuring nondiscriminatory treatment and equal opportunity. Employs effective motivation, empowerment, and management techniques, driving staff to produce quality work. Oversees timely staff vacancies filling, conducts interviews, recommends hires, disciplines, evaluates performance, and recommends terminations for the Education and Training Departments. Ensures new and existing staff receive required and supplementary training. Develops beneficial community linkages for education, employment, Career Technical Training, and Work-Based Learning (WBL). Actively promotes a positive image of the center, establishes meaningful relationships with community leaders and elected officials. Collaborates with all departments to ensure effective supervision and top-tier services for students. Actively pursues the achievement of performance standard goals, while advocating for a clean and organized workspace. Regularly evaluates team members, providing constructive feedback, and offers recommendations related to staff promotions, development, and other pertinent HR matters.

 

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Employees must regularly sit, stand, walk, reach, talk, and listen. Occasional requirements include sitting, hand movements (fingering, handling), tasting, and smelling. The role involves lifting/moving up to 25 pounds. Vision capabilities required include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision. The role occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions. While the general noise level is moderate, it can occasionally become loud.
