Patient Access Advisor Lead - Ortho Central
Departmental Overview From the high school athlete who tears an ACL to the retiree who needs a knee replacement, Ortho Central is here for each and every one of our patients. Our expert team includes six orthopedic surgeons, two sports medicine physicians, physical therapists, and workers’ compensation specialists. Ortho Central has three convenient locations in central Oklahoma: Midwest City, Tri City, and our office in Norman. Our skilled providers can evaluate and treat a wide range of orthopedic injuries including sports-related fractures, foot and ankle surgery, and hip, knee and shoulder reconstructive surgery. Job Summary This position is responsible for providing guidance and oversight to the Patient Access Advisor process. Employee will work closely with other Patient Access Advisors to assist with their training as well as insure their understanding of all aspects of revenue cycle as it relates to the patient experience. This includes but is not limited to, registration requirements and compliance, insurance benefits and coverage, pricing and charges, billing and collection process, payment expectations, alternative payment methods and sources. Position is also responsible for discussing self pay package pricing and providing up front estimates for high dollar procedures Qualifications Education High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates or Bachelor's degree preferred Experience 5 years experience in healthcare-related industry or hospital Patient Financial Services or Patient Access department, with emphasis on customer service, point of service collections, credit and collections, insurance verification or billing. Experience working with public and multiple customers (internal and external), working under stress, meeting deadlines and performing daily assignments with consistent accuracy are standard requirements (Above requirements can be met by equivalent combination of education and experience) Compensation/Benefits $16.72-$27.30/hr depending on previous work experience.
