Summary: The Patient Access Representative is responsible for accurate and timely registration of the Hospital patients. They are required to keep abreast of changes in insurance plan requirements that pertain to the referral management and point of service collection requirements. They will communicate any changes to registration staff and are responsible for training new employees as needed. The overall goal of this position is to ensure high quality service for patients and accuracy of information during pre and post visits. Qualifications: + High School Diploma required, Associate Degree preferred. + Two years of patient access experience within a healthcare setting handling all facets of registration, pre-registration, insurance verification, copayment determination and other related services preferred. + Two years of customer service experience required. + Medical terminology, familiarity with third party plans, medical billing and collection required. + Working knowledge in Google Office and Microsoft Office (such as Word, Excel, etc.) + Knowledge of Epic systems including Grand Central, Prelude and EMR preferred In keeping with federal, state and local laws, Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) policy forbids employees and associates to discriminate against anyone based on race, religion, color, gender, age, marital status, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, veteran status, disability or any other characteristic protected by law.
