As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area. This role will allow you to create the foundation in healthcare that you have been looking for. You will be supported as you enhance your customer service skills and advance your career as this position offers endless opportunities within Cleveland Clinic.
A caregiver in this position works 8:30am—5:00pm
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area.
Assign tasks, monitor performance of and assists in training patient service representative.
Screen candidates, recommend hires, conduct performance appraisals and recommend corrective counseling.
Develop, implement, and oversee programs to improve appointment utilization such as, reminder, follow-up on no-show/cancellation program.
Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems.
Adjust employees, patients, and physicians' schedules to respond to operational problems.
Control and audit the reconciliation of day sheets including adjusting statistics in the computer data bank.
Produce reports as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED.
Two years Cleveland Clinic outpatient scheduling experience or other equivalent position, which includes interacting with patients, physicians, and other departments on a problem resolution basis.
OR three years external outpatient scheduling experience where demonstrated experience includes resolving patient scheduling and the coordination of the work of others.
Associate degree may substitute for one year of experience.
Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the experience requirement.

Physical Requirements:
Requires frequent data entry, sitting, standing and walking. Normal or corrected vision, hearing and speech. Occasional lifting or pushing up to 25 pounds.Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
