Patient Access / Registration Rep 3-8p
**Employment Type:** Part time **Shift:** Evening Shift **Description:** Come join our Patient Access team at Johnson Memorial Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England! **Position Purpose** Completes patient registrations/pre-registration processes following department procedures using identified technology systems. Processes include obtaining accurate demographic, insurance and patient liability information. Responsible for working with multiple department/hospital and web-based systems. **What you will do** + Performs complete and accurate pre-registrations, registration, and admission functions + Verifies insurance requirements, obtains and understands insurance benefits + Ensures that all entries concerning demographic, financial and advanced directives are + Collects non-covered fees **Minimum Qualifications** + Minimum High school or equivalent + One year experience in an accredited hospital or physician's office preferred + Strong interpersonal, communication and interview skills + Demonstrated proficiency in the use of computer systems and computer devices + Knowledge of medical terminology and medical insurances **Position Highlights and Benefits** + Part time 10hr per week, 3p-8p every other weekend plus rotate Mon and Wed 3-8p (4 shifts per two week schedule) **Ministry/Facility Information** Johnson Memorial Hospital and Home & Community Health Services provide a continuum of health care services to those living and working in north central Connecticut and western Massachusetts.
