Patient Access RepresentativeSalary Rate: $18.5Location: Houston, TXShift: Monday – Friday 8am-5pmEmployment Type: Temporary The Patient Access Representative supports patient care services provided by the Refugee Clinic. The PAR is responsible for performing administrative tasks in accordance with all Harris County Public Health (HCPH) and Refugee Health Screening Program protocols. This position is responsible for client reception, scheduling, and maintaining medical records for the Refugee Health Screening Program. What you will be doing:Greets refugee patients and visitors warmly and respectfully. Schedules appointments and confirms appointments in the electronic medical record system.  Completes patient registration, by verifying program eligibility and preparing/updating medical documents accurately for document imaging and scanning in accordance with HCPH Health Information medical record protocols and HCPH systems.Answers phone calls and addresses inquiries or directs them to appropriate staff with sensitivity to cultural nuances.  Receives and monitors interpreters and taxi providers at the clinic. Provides translation for clinical staff when needed. Assist in performing data entry and electronic data processing by using the program Electronic Medical Record (EMR), Microsoft Excel, and any other related software. What is Required:High School Diploma or GED required.Six (6) months as a Front Desk Clerk/Receptionist/ Patient Access with experience in a medical office, Clinic, or hospital, is requiredEpic EMR exp is preferred but not requiredProficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with sensitive information. Benefits and Perks:During employment with Team1Medical Staffing, you can enroll in our benefits program, including medical         (3 plans to choose from), dental, disability, critical illness, life, vision, accident, and behavioral health insurance.
