Description Robert Half is searching for a Patient Access Representative to support a leading healthcare organization in Portland. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with exceptional organizational and communication skills who thrives in a patient-facing role. Responsibilities: + Serve as the first point of contact for patients, ensuring a positive and welcoming experience. + Accurately register patients in the system, verifying and updating demographic and insurance information. + Schedule patient appointments and provide details regarding preparation and required documentation. + Verify insurance eligibility and handle pre-authorization requirements when necessary. + Assist patients with questions regarding their accounts, appointments, and billing. + Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations. + Utilize Epic software to document, update, and manage patient records efficiently. + Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and minimize wait times. Requirements + Experience in a medical administrative capacity. + Proficiency with Epic or similar EMR systems is preferred. + Exceptional customer service skills and a patient-centric approach. + Strong attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality. + Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. + Familiarity with insurance processes, including verification and pre-authorizations. + Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
