Shift Schedule is every third weekend as well as a few holidays a year

Rotation:

Week 1 : Monday - Friday 6:45a-3:15p

Week 2: Monday - Thursday 6:45a-3:15, Saturday 6:45a-3:15

Week 3: Sunday 6:45a-3:15, Tuesday - Friday 6:45a-3:15

Training Schedule:

First two weeks - must be able to commit to M-F, 8-430 training most days.

About the Position:
In an outpatient and emergency setting, greets patients and family members and obtains and verifies demographic, clinical, financial and insurance information in the process of registering patients for service delivery. Enters patient/guarantor data in patient accounting system; collects patient signatures on forms; and scans registration documents.  Obtains and processes signed physician orders, conducts online insurance eligibility/benefit verification on designated cases, notifies patient/guarantor and collects patient liabilities, and refers appropriate cases to financial counseling for follow-up and consultation.  May provide escort and directional support to patients, family members and visitors.  Enhances the patient experience throughout all patient interactions, the majority of which are face-to-face.

Patient Access Representative works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient customer service.

 

What a Patient Access Representative will do:

Greet all patients, verifies insurance eligibility and obtains accurate records.Facilitates patient throughout, by collecting co-payments, obtaining signatures and making updates on patient charts.Administrative duties including revenue cycles and maintaining schedules.

 

What a Patient access representative will need:

High school diploma and preferred Associates degree in healthcare related areas.Preferred two years of experience in a medical setting.Knowledge of medical terminology, knowledge of health care plans.         Strong Written and verbal communication skills.
