Job Summary

The Patient Access Coordinator is responsible for scheduling and registering patients for services utilizing enterprise wide computerized scheduling and registration systems and multiple software applications. The employee will have interactions with patients and their families, physicians, physician office personnel and others in obtaining and recording the information necessary for effective scheduling and registration. The Patient Access Coordinator effectively communicates and collaborates with both internal and external customers in a team environment to ensure effective patient scheduling and registration while maintaining a focus on customer service and patient confidentiality. The Patient Access Coordinator is also responsible for registration editing functions utilizing system work queue’s.

Requires a professional, service oriented individual, with strong organization skills and good judgment. An independent thinker with the ability to work under limited supervision
