Determines and accepts required payments, including co-pays and deductibles and acts as patient financial counselor as needed for proper follow up collection activitiesAssumes on call responsibilities to ensure adequate staffing and availability for any problem solving needs that may arise. Works closely and professionally with nursing and ancillary departments in an effort to maintain a teamwork approach. Minimum EducationHigh school diploma or equivalent X PreferredRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Must have some customer service and medical office experience preferred.Minimum Work Experience2-4 years healthcare related experience required.2 years experience in HMS/MedHost required.
