BayMark Health Services is seeking a Business Office Services Coordinator: Reporting to the respective area Director, develops, The Coordinator maintains and delivers training programs for Patient Access Services (PAS) and Patient Financial Services (PFS) employees performing revenue cycle functions. Provides job and systems applications related revenue cycle orientation training and competency assessment for new employees. Provides on-going training for all staff on process and procedure changes and conducts audits of work quality to assist in the development of performance-based training plans. Works closely with Revenue Cycle and Clinical department leadership to conduct needs assessments to identify training opportunities and makes recommendations for inclusion in training curriculum. What you will do: Provide hands on training for our Patient Access Representatives at each clinic to include scheduling, admissions, authorizations, referrals, data entry, payer changes and insurance verification. Plan, schedule and conduct new hire department and job specific orientation (i.e. regulations, technology, customer service skills, policies and procedures, etc.) for all staff. Perform initial competency assessments to ensure staff is properly oriented in all department, clinic and regulatory policies, procedures and standards. Assist the management team in developing on-going group or individual competency development plans and activities for the department. Collaborates with other Education Consultants to conduct and/or incorporate corporate based training initiatives with the department curriculum as appropriate. Complete and compile training records and related data required by the department and hospital (i.e. program plans, attendance and competency assessment records, etc). Develop, produce, update and maintain the new hire orientation and on-going training and employee development curriculums. Analyze staff development needs utilizing statistics including competency assessments, program feedback evaluations, department performance and productivity indicators, industry trends, customer feedback and management interviews. Consults with various department heads, access services leadership, patient financial services leadership and software consultants to determine department educational requirements that are consistent with the organizations strategic, departmental and team-specific plans. Design training programs, utilizing a variety of learning methodologies and techniques, that teach required software systems, regulatory/compliance requirements, processes, policies and procedures, customer and service level standards. Create and modify effective training aids, materials and manuals and assists in creating educational materials. Communicates regularly with revenue cycle leadership to identify regulatory, process or system changes that may impact existing training or create new learning or development opportunities. Incorporates relevant changes into the training curriculum as appropriate. Develop and manage competency testing programs to ensure successful staff completion. Assists in the development of newly created or revised department policy and procedures and incorporate relevant changes into training materials, process documentation and policy/procedures manuals. Maintain manuals in electronic formats for department and ancillary user groups.Perform routine and periodic ad-hoc audits on quality assurance, service and effectiveness indicators for department services. Develop and utilize automated and manual quality assurance reports, rejects, failed claim and denial information to develop and distribute quality assurance “Report Cards” for NSC staff. Ensures the completion of “Rejection Analysis Summary Reports” and reviews them with new and current staff documenting systems and process errors, error trends and/or training opportunities, and prepares written recommendations and reports to the Directors. Provides quality trending reports by department and work area. Represents the department at assigned committees. Maintains professional growth through seminars, literature review, and membership in training related organizations. audit of patient accounts based on departmental protocol, policies and procedures, and compliance with regulatory agencies for the OTP clinics. Travel up to 50% Qualifications:Minimum three years’ experience working in patient financial services, clinical service access, physician office or billing and collections.
