The Opportunity:
Saint Luke’s Anderson County Hospital in Garnett, KS is seeking a Patient Accounts Representative/Financial Counselor to join our team. This is an onsite role that is patient facing, handling payment arrangements, financial assistance, and answering billing questions and concerns.
Shift Details:
Full-Time, Days, 40hrs/wk.The Work:
Performs claim edits Verifies insurance coverage Follows up with payors on open accounts Performs denials and payment variances Demonstrates excellent customer service Review and manage work queue to identify daily work Utilizes eligibility systems, online websites, or phone calls to determine insurance benefits Enter pertinent insurance information into EPIC Enter appropriate notes for all patients encountersHandling payment arrangements, financial assistance and answering billing questions and concernsOther duties as assignedExperience with facility claim submission for a hospital system is preferred.
Epic experience a plus.
We are looking for someone with excellent customer service skills. The ideal candidate has strong computer and critical thinking skills and has the ability to multitask.
