Position Purpose:
At Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, the Pre- Admission Surgical Screening Registered Nurse RN prepares patients for surgical readiness.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing BSN degree is preferred.
Registered Nurse RN Licensure: Valid and current Connecticut registered nurse licensure is required.
Experience: 1 or more years of nursing experience in an Acute InPatient setting is required. Perioperative or General Surgical experience is preferred.
BLS or CPR certification: Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross will be accepted.
Requires the ability to practice utilizing AORN (Association of Perioperative Registered Nurses) recommended standards and guidelines.
