Job Description

This position serves as a patient assistant at the reception/Checkout desk of the clinic by performing check in, check out, scheduling duties and work queue processing to include insurance verification. Duties include, but are not limited to, coordinating patient appointments, checking in patients by following Care Model Process guidelines and performs related reception/scheduling duties as assigned. This position is expected to support the mission, goals and objectives of the clinic.

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma/equivalent. Two years in a position interacting with the public using telephones and computer.  Must have one of the following: Graduate of a formal training program in medical reception, an equivalent program, or a customer service program; Two years of experience as a medical receptionist; or Two years of experience in a customer service position. One year experience using data look-up an data entry functions on a mainframe of PC based computer system. One year customer service experience either via telephone or in-person within the last five years. Demonstrated ability to organize while busy Demonstrated ability to function with multiple priorities and interruptions Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in EPIC computer system Insurance experience preferred.
