Patient Authorization and Referral Representative

This position is responsible for front-end revenue cycle duties including insurance benefit investigations and submitting authorizations for a variety of infusion and enteral therapies. Other responsibilities include calling insurance companies if more information is needed beyond what can be found online and calling patients to follow up with them on their questions or authorization status as needed. Math skills are required when creating estimates of patient financial responsibility and calculating units for authorizations. Strong teamwork/collaboration skills and an adaptable, growth mindset will set candidates up for success in this role.

Required Qualifications:

1 year experience in medical office setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

Reimbursement experience. Experience with verification of insurance benefits.
