Patient Benefit Access Coordinator

Position Summary:  Responsible for coordinating patient benefits including generating referrals, conducting pre-certifications, checking patient eligibility of multiple practices.

Position Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred Minimum of two years experience generating referrals.  Experience in similar specialty setting preferred Previous experience pre-certifying insurance benefits Previous experience checking patient insurance eligibility Minimum of two years previous coding experience  Thorough knowledge managed care plan requirements and limitations Previous experience with practice management/medical billing computer programs required Computer registration and EMR experience preferred  Previous Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel) experience referred Excellent oral/written communication skills Excellent organizational skills Detailed oriented Ability to set priorities, document conversations and specific actions taken and apply appropriate policies and procedures Flexible, able to adapt to change Must have EPIC experience Bilingual is a plus
