Patient Care Coordinator
Description We are looking for a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in Yakima, Washington. The role involves providing excellent customer service, managing patient schedules, and efficiently handling insurance verifications in a hearing aid center. The role offers a short term contract employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Provide exceptional customer service to patients and answer inbound calls in a timely and professional manner. • Coordinate and manage patient schedules, ensuring a smooth workflow in the hearing aid center. • Verify patient insurance details accurately and efficiently. • Utilize audiology program for scheduling, outlook for email, google docs, word, and excel to perform tasks effectively. • Work effectively under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Utilize strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members, providers, and technicians. • Assist customers, providing information and resolving inquiries promptly. • Demonstrate proficiency in medical and sales fields, particularly in orthodontics, dental, ophthalmology, optometry, and hearing aids. • Participate in upselling, promoting the center's products and services to patients. • Maintain a comfortable environment for patients, ensuring they are at ease with the use of computers and other technologies. Requirements • Proficiency in answering inbound calls in a timely and professional manner • Ability to handle patient authorizations efficiently • Experience in patient scheduling, ensuring optimal use of resources • Exceptional customer service skills and a willingness to assist customers with their inquiries and concerns • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality at all times • Proficiency in using healthcare software and technology • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with colleagues • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions under pressure • Flexibility to work in shifts, during weekends, or during holidays if required • Basic knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare processes.
