Patient Care Coordinator
Description We are seeking a Patient Care Coordinator to join our team in the high tech pharmaceutical/biotech industry, located in Plymouth, New Hampshire. The role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and entails managing patient appointments and clinic revenue generation, data entry, appointment scheduling, and maintaining an accurate account of transactions. You will also be directly interacting with patients for insurance documentation and understanding current HIPAA laws. Pay $20/hr Schedule Monday - Friday 830am to 5pm ONSITE Responsibilities: • Manage patient appointments, making outbound & follow up calls to potential and existing patients • Ensure professional and warm reception for all patients and obtain potential referrals • Stay updated and promote current marketing promotions to patients • Execute data entry tasks and schedule appointments using company scheduling protocols and internal scheduling database software • Maintain patient-ready office conditions by managing our office supply inventory as per company approved lists • Handle petty cash, bank deposits and credit transactions accurately • Maintain an inventory of hearing aids • Directly work with patients to collect all insurance documentation, ensuring understanding and adherence to current HIPAA laws • Answer inbound calls and maintain electronic patient medical records efficiently • Serve as an integral part of the medical front office, leveraging skills in managing patient medical records and understanding medical benefits. Requirements • Must have experience answering inbound calls within a medical or healthcare setting • Proficiency in using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems is crucial • Familiarity with handling and maintaining patient medical records • Knowledge of medical benefits and insurance processes • Experience working in a medical front office is required • Prior work in a medical office, specifically in patient care coordination, is necessary • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interaction • Ability to handle sensitive patient information with confidentiality • High level of organization skills to manage patient records and appointments • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and also independently when required • Detail-oriented with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment • Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving • Proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
