High performing in a specialty means we were in the top 10% nationally of all evaluated hospitals for that specialty or procedure and condition. _Northwest HealthCare_ , six miles west of Christian, offers 24- hour emergency care, the Sleep Disorders Center and a variety of outpatient diagnostic and imaging services. The 8th floor is a 44 bed Renal/Telemetry unit with 24 sem8i-private rooms and 1 private room with an adjacent dialysis suite where dialysis treatments are performed under a contractual agreement. The dialysis suite can accommodate 6 patients at any given time. There are 2 negative air-flow rooms on the unit. Any semi-private room can be made private for isolation purposes or to accommodate patient request. Patients admitted to the 8th floor are acutely ill with medical problems whose primary reason for admission include but are not limited to Renal Failure, CHF, Pneumonia, COPD, Sepsis, Dehydration, Diabetes Mellitus, MI, Angioplasty, S/P Cardiac Catheterization, Cardiac Arrhythmias, Direct Admits along with Post-op surgical patients. **Preferred Qualifications** **Role Purpose** Responsible for the operational and clinical management of a designated patient care unit(s) on a 24 hour basis. Oversees a span of control and financial responsibility of > 72 FTE's supervised + > $2.5 million in total expenses OR > 40 FTE's supervised + > $5 million in total expenses. **Responsibilities** + Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. + Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets.
