Patient Care Specialist

Velocity Urgent Care (now solely owned by Sentara Health) is actively seeking a Patient Care Specialist. You will provide non-clinical support within our Urgent Care Clinic and ensure an excellent patient experience by performing a variety of complex administrative tasks to support patient care delivery. Primary duties include answering phones, scheduling appointments, and answering patient questions. Required Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalentThree (3) years Clerical, Customer Service experience required.One year experience with Health Insurance Plans, Medical Records Data, Medical Terminology, Registration, Scheduling, or Third Party Payers required.

Clinic hours - 8:00a.m. - 8:00p.m. Monday-Friday. Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm. Scheduled hours and shifts may vary based on business need and candidates availability.

Scheduled Hours - 2 12-hour shifts, 1 8-hour shift, and 1 6-hour shift. Required to work every other weekend, Saturday and Sunday, 8am-4pm.
