Patient Care Supervisor - Medical ICU - nights

Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. The hospitals within McLeod Health include: McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris, McLeod Health Seacoast, McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon and McLeod Behavioral Health.  

Essential Functions

Assesses needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data. Provides appropriate nursing interventions, consistent with the Plan of Care and standards of practice, incorporating the Physician’s prescribed medical plans of care. Using service excellence standards, supports and validates hourly rounds. Ensures compliance with established unit standards, policies, standards of care, and coordinating patient care activities for the assigned shift. Competently manages employee related complaints, issues, and concerns to optimize the work environment. Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, and visitors. Demonstrates continued professional growth through setting goals and participating in educational offerings.

Required Education/Experience

Graduate from an accredited registered nursing program Must possess a valid South Carolina or compact (multi-state) RN license. This position requires an active Basic Life Support certification, as well as additional certifications per unit requirements. 

Job Type: Full time; 72 hours biweekly; night shift 7:00pm to 7:00am; as scheduled.
