The Patient Care Tech Performs daily care activities to help achieve the goals of the patient care plan as directed by the Registered Professional Nurse. minimum education/certification licenses: Required: + High School diploma or equivalent + Completion of one of the following educational programs: + Successful completion in a Certified Nursing Aid program with certificate + OR + Successful completion in the fundamentals of nursing coursework and clinical rotation in hospital setting OR + 1 year previous experience as a patient care tech in an ED EXPERIENCE: Required: + Minimum of 1 year, 2 year preferred of patient care experience in an acute care setting + Preferred: + Completion of a phlebotomy course SPECIAL SKILLS/EQUIPMENT: + Required + Must have Basic Life Support (BLS) certification a time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire date
