Summary

Performs the function of a Patient Care Technician in carrying out all assignments under the direction of an RN in the Inpatient Units and Emergency Department.  Is accountable for all patient care he/she gives in the unit assigned/scheduled.  Is responsible for adhering to all standards of Nursing Practice and for promoting teamwork among colleagues through collaboration and respect.

Position Qualifications

Minimum Education: High school graduate Preferred Education:  Completion of nursing assistant certification training and competency exams as approved by the State Board of Health. Completion of Nursing Fundamentals Course, EMT Course, or Medical Assistant Course.                            Minimum Experience:         Effective verbal and written skills Effective customer service Computer keyboard skills Preferred Experience: One year of healthcare experience preferred Certifications Required: Healthcare Provider CPR certification Certifications Preferred: Certified Nursing Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant or EMT Certification
