Apply Today! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Patient Care Technician (PCT) delivers high quality, patient-centered care by performing a variety of delegated basic patient care services related to common nursing functions and activities of daily living. Under the supervision of the registered nurse (RN), the PCT assists the nursing staff in providing patient care in accordance with the PCT’s skills/training and the needs of the Department, and consistently assists the patient care team with maintaining a clean, well-organized, and safe patient care environment. The PCT complies with all hospital policies/procedures and observes the State Board of Nursing rules for unlicensed personnel. **What you will do in this role:** + Facilitate the transfer, positioning and transport of your patients + Assist in overturning your operating rooms between cases + Interacts with patients, fellow employees, physicians, and other stakeholders in a manner which encourages quality patient care, harmonious working relationships, positive customer relations, and which enhances the image and reputation of the center + Assists in monitoring and recording in environmental and equipment log. + Perform terminal cleaning of your surgical area + You will maintain sufficient supply levels, cleanliness and orderliness of all your equipment and supplies + You will answer phones + You will assist with computer data entry **Qualifications you will need:** + One year patient care assistance in a nursing or environmental services environment + CNA/LNA Certification Required + Valid BCLS Certification upon employment***online certification not acceptable. **New England Center for Orthopedic Surgery** is a state-of-the-art Orthopaedic only ambulatory surgery center providing the highest level of patient care to Portsmouth, New Hampshire and surrounding communities.
