SUMMARY
Provides direct or indirect patient care in accordance with treatment plans as determined/delegated by a licensed nurse or RN. Assists with tasks necessary for the general management and organization of the patient care unit, being flexible meeting patient and/or unit needs.

ATTRIBUTES
One year experience, with direct bedside patient care is strongly preferred. For ED and ICU- 2 years’ experience strongly preferred in a high acuity bedside patient care setting.Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact successfully with patients, families, and healthcare team membersCompassion that embraces our Care like Family Values. Clinical Patient Care & Service:
Provide and Deliver safe and competent care for patients with activities of daily living needs; Ambulating, Toileting, Transferring, Repositioning and Nutritional needs.Oral care; suctioning & denture careBed baths & showersFoley care & Ostomy care (where applicable)Linen Changes Take and record patient vital signs Pulse, Respirations, Temperature, Blood Pressure, O2Intake & OutputAll Oral IntakeUrine, Stool & Emesis outputWeights, BGsApplication of EKG leads, Specimen collection & completion of blood drawsProvide post mortem careMonitoring patients’ conditions and providing updates to the healthcare teamNon-Clinical Patient Care and Service:
Assist with admission, discharge and transfer of patientsRoom set up for new admissionsEscorting of dischargesMaintenance of patient charts- regarding documentation of cares provided Delivery of labs where applicableImprove the patient experience and preserve a safe, clean and healthy environmentEnsure equipment and facilities are clean, and stocked with appropriate suppliesEDUCATION:
