Departmental Overview Compensation / Benefits $13.21-$21.58/hr. depending on previous work experience. Evening differential $1.50/hr. Night differential $1.75/hr. Weekend differential $1.75/hr. The Flex Pool is made up of an adaptable and dynamic team of employees that is able to work in multiple service lines at all four NRHS campuses. These include Emergency departments, medical and cardiac intensive care units, medical and cardiac step down units, med/surg, ortho/neuro, oncology, and post-surgical units as well as the occasional special assignment that may include procedural areas. The Flex Pool is dedicated to providing exceptional care when and where needed throughout the organization. Job Summary Job Summary Provides basic patient care. Assists in the maintenance of a safe and clean environment. Takes and records vital sign (VS) data and relays to patient's nurse. Provides general nursing care and routine treatment /procedures. Facilitates processing of patients Provides clerical receptionist support Provides Coordinating Support Performs additional duties related to the specific needs of the department Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED equivalent required. Completion of a recognized patient care training program or one clinical semester of nursing school preferred. Experience Required to be at least 18 years of age. Applicants must have a minimum of six (6) months of experience in a healthcare setting. An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for this requirement. (The above requirements can be met by the equivalent combination of education and experience). Licensure / Certification Basic Life Support (BLS) training or retraining is required during orientation prior to providing patient care. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required to be maintained thru re-training for duration of employment. Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) or Advanced Unlicensed Assistant (AUA) certification preferred.
