In addition, UBHC is the primary mental health training resource for the New Jersey departments of Human Services, Children and Families, and Corrections, delivering 16,000 trainings each year.  Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Patient Care Technician for the Medical Services, Transmagnetic Stimulation Services within Rutgers University Behavioral Health Care.

The primary purpose of the Patient Care Technician is to be responsible for administering, monitoring, and scheduling Transmagnetic Stimulation (TMS) services, providing support for individuals served throughout treatment, and ensuring equipment safety and functionality. 

Among the key duties of this position are the following:

Conducts pre-treatment assessments to verify TMS therapy eligibility. Demonstrates competency in procedures within scope of practice. Explains TMS to individuals served and responds to inquiries related to the procedure. Monitors individuals served throughout sessions to ensure their safety and comfort. Provides regular feedback to TMS’ multidisciplinary team members regarding responses from individuals served. Assures medical equipment and supplies are available for utilization. Monitors and inspects TMS equipment and reports any functionality and safety issues to supplier and supervisor. Maintains accurate and complete documentation/records for individuals served.
