PATIENT CARE TECHNICIAN

DESCRIPTION OF POSITION
A technician who assists the Emergency Department staff in carrying out a variety of patient care, clerical and procedural tasks for the patients presenting in the department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional/Educational High School Diploma or GED preferred. At least 17 years of age. Currently Certified by IDPH as a CNA, currently licensed as an EMT/Paramedic, or equivalent experience required. Certified by the American Heart Association in CPR required. DCFS Mandated Reporter Certificate of Completion required.
Personal Desire and ability to cooperate with and/or under the direction of others. Possesses a sense of responsibility, initiative and honesty. Ability to follow directions accurately. Appreciation of and desire to be a part of a health care team dedicated to providing patients optimal care. Possesses the ability to work under pressure.
Actual pay will be determined by qualifications, experience, and internal equity.
