Patient Care Technician (CNA) - Women's Health

Health is a bed surgical unit serving the unique needs of women We primarily care for patients recovering from gynecological uro gynocology and gynonc procedures as well as plastic surgery and abdominal procedures In addition we care for stable obstetrical patients such as high risk antepartum and postpartum women whose newborns are in the NICU During surges in the hospital wide census we also admit a small percentage of female medical patients on North We offer the opportunity for the nurse to learn such skills as electronic fetal monitoring advanced breastfeeding support and a wide variety of pre and post operative interventionsJob SummaryUnder the supervision of a Nurse Leader the Patient Care Tech is responsible for performing specific duties that support patient care which includes direct and indirect patient care activities that are essential to providing a safe and efficient care environment This position performs selected interventions and activities that contribute to providing comprehensive care to patients in accordance with all existing regulatory and hospital standards policies and procedures In addition along with the care team this position is responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience This role performs in a high activity work environment with multiple priorities and necessitates flexibility in scheduling Additional responsibilities and
