Patient Care Technician I- Chilton Surgical Associates
Principal Accountabilities: + Will perform clinical as well as administrative tasks. + Will be responsible for managing phones, scheduling and confirming appointments, checking patients in upon arrival. + Will collect co-pays, verifying insurance, processing referrals scanning documents into electronic medical record files, processing medical record releases, and other clerical duties as assigned. EPIC user + Responsible for assisting doctors/PA staff in ensuring that the basic needs of each patient are met. + Will managing patient flow, rooming patients, taking vital signs, medication reconciliation, maintaining/prepping exam rooms. + Other related duties as assigned. Required: HS Diploma or equivalent Preferred: + Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written + Patient, compassionate nature + Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and PA's. + Proficiency in computer-based data management programs and information system + Computer literacy essential + EPIC EMR experience desired. + Prior clinical experience strongly preferred.
