The Patient Care Tech I is a member of the patient care team who performs a variety of tasks and activities to meet patient and departmental needs consistent with the scope of practice for an unlicensed practitioner.  The Patient Care Tech I must manage multiple demands on his/her time to support the activity of the Nurses, Physicians, and Interdisciplinary Team in caring for patients.

Required Qualifications:

National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training: Certified Nursing Assistant or Nursing Student. Coursework/Training: EKG arrhythmia interpretation – must pass competency. 1 year experience as CNA in acute care setting, or 1 year experience as EMT, or First year nursing student. Monitor Tech experience.
