We provide paid, on the job training and no certification needed.** + **Career Growth:** Great opportunity to obtain healthcare experience for those that are looking to further theireducation in healthcare or be involved in an ever-changing career with upward mobility. + **Job Satisfaction:** Each day you will positively impact each patient you serve. **Job Summary** + The Patient Care Tech (PCT) on the Med Surg Unit provides direct patient care for assigned patients under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. + Duties include: assisting with admissions and discharges, vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, answering call lights, and ADL's. + Performs all duties and responsibilities in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion and stewardship. + Provides care/service in accordance with regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical and Religious Directives. **Education and/or Experience** + Must be 16 years of age or older. **Licensure/Certification/Registration** + BLS Certification required within 60 days of hire. **Work Schedule** + Night Shift, 6:30pm-7:00am, every third weekend, every third holiday; 72 hours every 2 weeks + Position requires a year-round commitment to full-time hours **Pay** The hourly range for this position is listed below.
