Responsibilities
Job Summary:
Primary function of position provides ongoing observation either through in person or through Camera/Monitor technology of patients on suicide prevention watch as a result of identified risk factor and high risk patient fall risk and monitors patients for signs of detrition agitation impulsiveness and/or attempts to get of bed/chair unassisted for pulling on lines tubes or other medical devices and for vomiting in patients wearing C-pap or Bi-pap masks. Work also includes establishing/maintaining effective communication channels with bedside direct patient care staff reporting potentially dangerous changes in patient behavior and escalating communications as necessary using established protocols and best judgment.

Required Education and Experience:
Any combination of related education and experience that would demonstrate attainment of the requisite job knowledge/abilities to perform the duties of the positinRequired Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of or ability to learn the function and use of the streaming video monitoring equipment. Ability to learn to access multiple video observation platforms access EMRs through separate hospital portals and understand hospital-specific workflow protocols.Ability to maintain constant observation of assigned patient rooms and to identify circumstances needing timely intervention/assistance of on-site healthcare staff.Ability to understand and follow established protocols/procedures applicable to the assigned hospital in a timely and compliant manner.Ability to document observations and actions taken in a timely and accurate manner.Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships as required by the duties of the position.Preferred Qualifications:
