Patient Experience Liaison

Atlantic Health System is seeking a Per Diem Patient Experience Liaison for the Greeter/Screener Department at Hackettstown Medical Center and Newton Medical Center.  Required hours vary including alternating weekends.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities: 

Welcome patients, guests, and visitors by smiling and greeting them as they arrive. Using Epic to help guests find the unit and room number of patients they are visiting. Assist vendors signing in and contacting security upon their arrival. Answer phones and transfer accordingly. Signing in and track all visitor exceptions for regulatory compliance. Monitor waiting areas for social distancing compliance. Coordinate flower and gift deliveries to patient rooms. Round on patient in waiting areas close to information desk (diagnostics, patient access, cardiology, and lobby). Contacting transport as needed to escort patients to and from the building. Must maintain professional and engaging dialogue with patients and families to provide extraordinary experiences. Assures adherence to organizational guidelines, policies, and procedures. Other tasks as required to ensure extraordinary experiences.

Minimum Requirements: 

To provide a safe environment to our patients, we require that all candidates must be able to read, write and speak English. High School Diploma or GED required or will obtain within 2 years of employment. Associate’s or Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Minimum Experience: 

1-2 years of customer service, healthcare or hospitality experience preferred.
