Be the Heart of Patient Care – Join Our Concierge Team! **Responsibilities:** + Guest Assistance: Warmly greets and guides patients and visitors, ensuring smooth navigation throughout the hospital while maintaining confidentiality. + Environmental Services: Cleans, organizes, and restocks assigned areas, including patient rooms and public spaces, reporting any maintenance concerns. + Dietary Support: Assembles, delivers, and serves meals per dietary guidelines, ensuring food safety and proper sanitation. + Patient Transport: Safely transports patients, specimens, and equipment while maintaining cleanliness and tracking transport activities. + Supply Management: Orders, stocks, and organizes unit supplies and equipment, monitoring expiration dates and inventory levels. + Communication & Rounding: Answers phones, responds to call lights, and interacts with patients to assess and meet their needs. + Mobility & Engagement: Encourages patient mobility, socialization, and comfort while assisting with daily plans of care. + Safety & Compliance: Adheres to hand hygiene, infection control, and mandatory reporting procedures. + UPMC Values & Experience: Embodies key behaviors, ensuring a compassionate, top-quality experience for all. + Other Duties: Performs additional tasks based on unit needs and leadership direction. + Strong desire, drive, and compassion to provide exceptional patient and family experiences. + Education: High School diploma or active enrollment in a High School/GED program, or one year of job experience in lieu of diploma/GED. + Previous healthcare or customer service experience is preferred + Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions. **Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:** + Act 33/34 **UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran**
